Good Golly Miss Molly! This post is a little tardy but better late than never. I filled out this quiz last year and have decided to do it every year. Here are my answers! Oh! And Happy New Year!
1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
Started a running program with a good friend and ran over two miles straight. It may not seem like a huge feat for someone who has far surpassed it, but it was an accomplishment for me, especially after never having run more than 5 minutes straight in my entire life. Also, last year’s effort brought me to the place of being in the best physical shape I’ve ever been in. I’ve slacked considerably in that area, but it is something I want to carry into 2010.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for this year?
I realize now that last year’s resolution’s were rather vague, and in turn were easier to neglect. This year I do have goals. More specific ones:
- Daily devotions before anything else in the mornings
- Exercise at least 5 times a week (running, fitness DVD’s, Wii Fit/Active, weights, etc…)
- Eat less junk and more whole grains, fruits, and veggies
- Run a 5K
- WRITE MORE! Seriously. This has got to happen for me. I’m hesitant to shoebox myself into a certain amount of days per week, but I’m gonna go ahead and set the bar at writing and publishing a post at least 3-4 times a week. That’s totally do-able, I just have to force myself into the habit.
- Also, maintain this new spot I created last year for my fitness journeys.
- Read every day. At least 1 chapter or 30 minutes a day
- Start taking college classes again
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my friend Valisa
